Gordon Ramsay is one of my personal heroes
Like me, he learnt on the job, under some of the best people in his industry, not from a fancy cooking school.
He holds 14 Michelin Stars, the highest award bestowed by food critics, so when you see him criticize chefs, it isn’t from a point of arrogance.
He is sometimes criticized for his use of extreme language, however, I see this as totally justified – It’s the most effective way to communicate a point to someone who just doesn’t care or isn’t willing to learn.
His aggressive approach clearly pays off, because he gets the message to client and staff – as seen by his accolades.
We need more people like him in the AdWords industry, people who know the top standard, and are unwilling to stray from it.
By saying yes to those who want us to under-perform, by not being willing to stand for Google AdWords best practice, we bring down the reputation of the industry – and avoid the ability to give clients the best value for money.
